Player 1: Mortal Kombat X vs. Player 2: Standard Bank business incubator–its all on Talking Tech on CliffCentral
Its an utter disgrace. The Xenophobic attack that are sweeping South Africa are reminiscent of the Apartheid regime where people were discriminated against purely for not being “the same”.
Its disgusting and we should call it what it is: pure racism.
Foreign owned shops are looted and owners beaten as it seems that one of the motivation of the attacks on foreigners is due to financial reasons. No jobs results in no money which results in crime.
I have been to many presentations where government officials keep making promises about helping entrepreneurs and how self-employment is the key to solve the unemployment rate in South Africa. To date, I am aware of many businesses that applied for help form government which resulted in a NO.
This is a problem that Standard Bank is looking to address with the launch of their Business Incubator program.
This is where Businesses and entrepreneurs are able to receive guidance and direction for their business with access to Standard Bank’s own corporate network. At the same time, the network will provide input as to what new skills, products, and services are needed to strengthen value chains. Should the business require funding too, the Incubator will be able to assist in raising funds too.
On CliffCentral, Zoe Hawkins from lazygamer.net and I spoke to Jayshree Naidoo, Standard Banks’s Incubator Head, to find out more about the program and how tech companies are able to leverage this opportunity:
What else was on the Talking Tech show?
The new Mortal Kombat and GTA V on PC were the biggest stories of the past few weeks. Zoe takes us through what we can expect and how the old is now new and gamers are loving it ! check out more on http://www.lazygamer.net/review/mortal-kombat-x-the-video-review/
Since the show is all about innovation and being able to create a service or a product which is needed, this is what Project Ray did when they created RayGo – a way to use your phone whilst driving but without taking your hands off the steering wheel: http://thetechieguy.com/never-look-at-your-phone-while-driving-again/
