How to get $500 off the price of the Google Pixel 2 – Limited Offer

Every year at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona we await to see this year’s new phone and in 2018 we weren’t disappointed.

Some of the more noteable phones were the yellow-banana-shaped Nokia 8110 4G and the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9 Plus.  LG showed is LG V30S  and Sony revealed it Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact and ZTE Blade V9.

Plenty of Android goodness to choose from!

If you are not willing to wait for one of these phones or don’t want to pay those prices, then you might want to head over to the Google store and grab yourself the Pixel 2 on this limited time deal.

If you buy the Google Pixel 2 between March 1st and March 17th, Google will give you $100 in Google Store Credit AND $400 credit card refund when you trade in an eligible phone.

so thats a whopping $500 off your phone right?

eh…not so quick as the terms and conditions are important to note here.

The Trade-in is UP TO $400. When you start the buying process you will be given the option to select Trade-In and then answer some questions about your device. The system will then make an offer for your phone based on your answers. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge was not available as a trade-in  (too old?), however on the Galaxy S7 I was offered $113. You still need to send your phone in after you reset it to factory defaults and they will confirm that it is indeed in the condition you described before sending your the credit card.

Regarding the Google Store $100 credit, you are going to have to wait for it as it will only be credited to your account  “within 6-8 weeks after the end of the promotion, and credit must be used before 8/31/2018”

Its a nice little offer from Google and if you are ready for that new phone this is a great incentive to switch over to the Google Pixel 2. Check out the offer here: https://store.google.com/us/product/pixel_2

While I didn’t get a chance to review the Pixel 2 due to timing and logistical issues, I did review the Google Pixel 1 and loved it:
