BTS smashes 3 Guinness World Records and the mystery of the 100 million missing YouTube views
Why is BTS such a big deal now? If you are asking this, then you must have missed the explosion in KPOP’s popularity and how it is sweeping the globe!
The TLDR is that BTS has earned 3 Guinness World Records:
- The Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours
- Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours
- Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group
DO NOT make the mistake the KPOP is “for kids”, that will bring down the fury of the BTSArmy and rightly so. BTS is all about positivity and having an amazing mindset which they portray through their music, energetic dance moves, and social media.

BTS Smashes yet ANOTHER YouTube record
Recently, Blackpink’s latest track hit 100 million views in 2 days and 14 hours or so. They said to have his around 56 million views in the first 24 hours. BTS “Boy With Luv” video hit 74,600,000 million within the same period – an official Guinness World Record!
At the time of publishing this, BTS (방탄소년단) ‘작은 것들을 위한 시 (Boy With Luv) feat. Halsey’ Official MV has 116.7 million views, 7.6 million thumbs up and 2.6 million comments. According to vidIQ, the video reached a point when it had over 3.6 million views PER HOUR!

Needless to say, the BTSArmy is not impressed and took to Twitter to show it, even offering proof that it actually happened.

So far there doesn’t seem to be an “official” statement about these missing views from either YouTube or BTS’s management company.
It doesn’t look like the momentum is dying out anytime soon, as currently, the video has 977 000 views per hour so Youtube once again proves to be the platform of choice to connect and engage with fans around the world.
