4 million podcast downloaded and now a CliffCentral app
CliffCentral was launched on the 1st of May 2014 when Gareth Cliff decided that traditional radio was no longer a home for him. Still wanting to broadcast and create content Gareth launched CliffCentral.com the UnRadio destination.
CliffCentral.com is a live broadcasting station that has content across every topic imaginable. The shows are produced and run by not-your-usual-traditional-broadcasters but by a range of people from all walks of life who are just passionate about sharing. I happen to be one of those people where I host the Talking Tech show on Mondays at 10am South African time (yes, a shameless plug !)
Not only is each show broadcast live, but a podcast is made available for download just after the show. To date, CliffCentral has had over 4 million podcast downloads by people who listen from across the world.
Taking the natural next step forward, together with the iStore South Africa, World Wide Creative and Fonk, CliffCentral has launched their mobile app. The app makes it even simpler to listen live to the shows and to download the podcasts – all at a touch of a button.
The app is already winning hearts judging by the comments listeners have left online. “and this is only the version 1” Gareth assured me “We have many more features that our audience can expect”
