IBM Cognitive Computing comes up with food combinations that haven’t been invented yet
What if you had friends coming over for dinner but 1 only eats Kosher, the other is a strict vegetarian, the other loves his meat but is only eats Halal and the fourth eats everything but is currently on a Banting diet…
What do you cook ?
Typically, we default to a buffet type of meal and everyone can pick what they want – problem solved.
But what if you are a chef and you need to come up with new combinations of food – how do you keep innovating ? Yes you could search online for information but that would just display results for known questions. What if there was a system that thought for you and came up with information that you didn’t even know to search for ? what if a system could come up with items that haven’t even been invented before ?
On this Talking Tech with TheTechieGuy on CliffCentral.com we explore the IBM Supercomputer and what Cognitive Computing is all about. We ask can a computer assist in coming up with new dishes and combinations that have never been tried before? What does that do to a Chef ? Can a computer break down ingredients to a molecular level and mix and match items to create new flavours ?
