One of the most innovative companies in the world is Tesla. Ex-South African, Elon Mask’s company is continuing to make great strides into Space, Renewable Energy and of course electric vehicles.

Tesla autopilotBack in October, Tesla Motors had released a software update to its vehicles which were equipped with the forward looking camera and ultrasonic sensors surrounding the vehicle. The update was Tesla Autopilot which gave drivers the ability to have a self-driving car. Autopilot allows Model S vehicles to steer within a lane, change lanes with the simple tap of a turn signal, and manage speed by using active, traffic-aware cruise control. Digital control of motors, brakes, and steering helps avoid collisions from the front and sides, as well as preventing the car from wandering off the road. Your car can also scan for a parking space, alert you when one is available, and parallel park on command.

To end the year off, Tesla released this video showing its new Model X dancing to “Wizards in Winter” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  This is Tesla new 7 seater SUV complete with Falcon wings for ease of access:

If you would like to get your hand on the Model X you need a $5000 reservation payment (which can be made via PayPal, Visa or Cheque) but you would have to wait until the latter half of 2016.
