Teens and Adults do things differently when it comes to their social life. Hardly “breaking news”.  But how far does this generation gap extend online ? Facebook was all the rage back in its day, but are Teens still keen to use the platform knowing that their “Parentals” and other “Randomz” are stalking and following their every move?

According to NexAdvisor research there is a large generation gap between how Adults and Teens use Social Media.

Some of the key findings are:

Teens still use Facebook and Twitter more than Adults do (94% teens compared to 67% adults)

Teens are are less likely to use Pinterest compared to Adults (Adults 15% and Teens 1%)

Where Instagram and Tumblr are used pretty evenly by both groups.

When it comes to Age Breakdown: Between the ages of 13 and 49 – there is a high percentage of people who use Social Media which tappers off once you reach 50 years old.

Adults in their 20s are more likely to be on social media than teens.
