Most people will use Instagram to upload their pic, heart, comment and follow friends and a couple of cool brands. However, if you explore Instagram app a little, it has several features that are not so obvious but cool to use.
5 Instagram features that were right there but you didn’t know existed:
1. Map my photos:
If you want to get a snap shot of where you took your favourite pics that made it onto your Instagram account, you can do it with a world map. You can zoom into places and see the location of your snaps. This is great in countries where you don’t recall the name of cities or town.
2. Who to follow:
If you are in a bit of a rut only following those that you know, Instagram can suggests who you should follow. The suggestions seem to be based on who you engage with, who comments on your pics and then some random sauce of people based on hashtags too.
Tap on Search and then tap on the +man icon:
3. Custom Notification:
If you are tired of your phone beeping and vibrating every time anything happens on your Instagram account, you can customise which notifications are important and which can be ignored.
Under Options, scroll down until you see Push Notification and select those that are worthy of bugging you.
4. Pics you liked:
If you want to see those images that you liked over the years, you can do that buy going to Options, and then tapping on Post you’ve liked.
5. Camera Shortcut:
Usually the last couple of photos that we snapped are the ones we want to upload. So Instagram has a shortcut. Simply tap and hold the camera button in the app to see the more recent photos in your gallery
